NOTES:
Dream Street is Janet Jackson's second studio album, released on October 23, 1984 by A&M Records, when she was 18 years old. Under similar circumstances to her self-titled debut album, she recorded this album at the coercion of her father Joseph Jackson, who also served then as her manager. She said in several interviews years later that she had little interest in recording her first two albums and instead at the time wanted to focus on being an actress or attending college, however her father offered her little choice.

Her brothers Marlon and Michael contributed background vocals to the song "Don't Stand Another Chance." Marlon produced and co-wrote the song, which was a modest hit.

The album was released in the United States only on cassette and vinyl formats and is now out of print and rare to find. It was released on CD format only in Japan. The album was made available to purchase digitally at online music stores on May 15, 2007.

The album peaked at #147 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. Sales numbers for the album are not known. It is uncertified by the RIAA.
