Songwriters of 'Feedback'
According to iTunes, Janet's new single "Feedback" has the following writers:
Dernst Emile LaShawn Daniels Rodney Jerkins Tasleema Yasin
Dernst Emile is better known as D'Mile and works in conjunction with Darkchild Music and Rodney Jerkins as co-producer on "Feedback."
LaShawn Daniels is a long time collaborator of Rodney Jerkins and has written many songs for R&B artist Brandy.
Tasleema is an up-and-coming singer/songwriter/rapper from New York. |

L.A. Reid says Janet will likely work with Jam & Lewis in future
In a quick quote about Janet's upcoming album, L.A. Reid told Yahoo! News that she is likely to work with Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis in the future:
"Janet's (new) music is exciting," Reid says. "My guess is that Janet, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis will do something together because they have such magic. But we've experimented with things for no other reason than to find some freshness and give her some different challenges musically." |

Billboard update for week ending January 5, 2008
The following list represents Janet's positions on all of the Billboard charts for the week ending January 5, 2008.
For the second week in a row, the names of the songwriters of "Feedback" are not listed unlike most songs on the Billboard charts.

'Feedback' now available on iTunes in the U.S.
The song "Feedback" is now available to purchase on iTunes in the United States.
The only version of the song available right now is the normal 3:56 version of the song. No alternate edits, instrumentals, or remixes have been released yet. |

Japanese stores post info on deluxe edition of Discipline
Both the Japanese HMV online store and the CD Japan online store have begun listing details about what will be contained in the deluxe edition of Discipline.
According to both sites, the deluxe version will be available in special packaging and will contain a bonus DVD with the following features:
- "Feedback" music video - Making-of footage - Interviews
Currently, it is not known of the deluxe edition of the album will be released only in Japan or if it will also be available in other countries as well
As was previously reported, the online stores are also reporting that the Japanese version of the album may also contain two bonus songs.
None of this information has yet been officially confirmed.

Saam Farahmand directing the video for 'Feedback'
J|X Exclusive: Janet|Xone has confirmed that British director Saam Farahmand will be directing the video for "Feedback."
Earlier this month, the Vice Magazine blog had reported that Farahmand was in New York directing a video for Janet, however aside from that one report there had been no other confirmation that he was indeed directing "Feedback."
Rumors about other people directing the video are not true.
This will be Janet's first time working with Farahmand, who in the past has directed videos for Simian Mobile Disco ("Hustler"), New Young Pony Club ("Ice Cream"), and Klaxons ("Magick"). |

'Feedback' available on iTunes on December 27
Janet's new single "Feedback" will be available to purchase on iTunes in the United States on December 27, according to the first official e-mail announcement from the newly re-designed JanetJackson.com website.
The announcement, which was e-mailed out this afternoon, also said that her official website will be "evolving in the next few weeks." |

Janet on her relationship with Island Def Jam: 'They're Into It'
In her most public comment concerning her departure from Virgin Records to Island Def Jam, Janet tells Blender Magazine that "[Island Def Jam is] into it - that's the difference."
The magazine also mentions that Janet may be collaborating with Lil Jon, and asks again about a possible duet with labelmate Mariah Carey.
"It's something we both want to do," she says. "Hopefully we'll get it done."

More online stores confirm 'Married' DVD release date
Several more online stores have begun listing the "Why Did I Get Married?" DVD as being released in the United States on February 12, 2008, including Amazon.com, where the DVD is now available to pre-order.
Earlier this month, online store ColumbiaHouse.com also listed the DVD as being released on that same day. It will be released in two different versions - a widescreen version and a full screen version.
While the details of the DVD's bonus features aren't clear right now, several of the stores are listing the following featurettes as being on the DVD:

Update of Universal Japan official website
Universal Music Japan has updated their Janet Jackson website with more information about her upcoming releases and have also created their own domain name: www.janetjackson.jp
The website reveals that there will be two versions of the album released in Japan, a normal edition and a deluxe edition. No other details are given, and it is unknown at this point if both editions will be released in other countries as well. |

Janet's new album will be titled Discipline and will be released in the United States on February 26, according to a press release issued this morning by Island Def Jam.

New York City radio station Z100, which began playing "Feedback" this afternoon, has just announced that Janet's new untitled album will be released in the United States on Tuesday, February 26, 2008. |

New official Janet Jackson website now online
A newly re-designed official Janet Jackson website is now active as of this afternoon at www.janetjackson.com.
Currently, the only things available on the official site is the ability to stream Janet's new song "Feedback" and to register your e-mail address and cell phone numbers for updates.
The new site, which is designed only using black and white colors, also appears to give a glimpse into what the new logo for Janet's upcoming album will look like:

Janet's new single 'Feedback' leaks on the net
Janet's new single, titled "Feedback," has leaked out onto the internet this afternoon.
The uptempo dance track is currently being traded in a high quality MP3 file amongst fans online.
UPDATE: The song is now being played on radio stations, including New York City's Z100.
UPDATE 2: Janet|Xone has gotten official confirmation that the song was produced by Rodney Jerkins.

CD Japan: Japanese version of album to have 2 bonus tracks
The Japanese edition of Janet's new untitled album will contain two bonus tracks, according to the online music store CD Japan, which has begun taking pre-orders on the album.
Whether there will actually be two bonus songs on the Japanese edition has not been officially confirmed yet by Universal Japan, however in the past Janet frequently has put bonus songs on the Japanese editions of her albums.
In Japan, Control contained one bonus track ("Start Anew"), The Velvet Rope contained one ("God's Stepchild"), All For You contained one ("Who"), Damita Jo contained two ("I'm Here" & "Put Your Hands On"), and 20 Y.O. contained two ("Roll Witchu" & "Days Go By"). |

Universal Japan: New Janet single to be released this Saturday
Universal Music Japan has created a small website for Janet where they announce that her new single will be released onto the internet this Saturday, December 15.
The website also confirms that her new album will be released in Japan on February 20.
Neither the song's title nor the album's title have been announced yet. No other information is given. |

HMV: New album to be released in Japan on February 20
According to the Japanese HMV music store's website, Janet's new album will be released in Japan on Wednesday, February 20.
The online Japanese store is now taking pre-orders on the album, which is listed as being untitled, containing one disc, and being released by Universal International. No other details are given.
No official announcements about the album's release have been made yet.

New Janet video begins filming next week
According to an article in the Mississagua News, Blake McGrath has had to reschedule an appearance at a local dance workshop in order to take part in the filming of a new music video for the first single off of Janet's new album, reported to be released in February.
Blake's appearance at The Dance Element workshop in Milton, Ontario, originally scheduled for next week, has been rescheduled to December 18 to allow for his presence at the video's filming.
No official announcements have been made about the video, album, single, or filming location. As noted earlier this week however, Janet was spotted in Manhattan having dinner with producer L.A. Reid. |

Possible release date for 'Why Did I Get Married?' DVD
The ColumbiaHouse.com online store is now listing the "Why Did I Get Married?" DVD as having a release date of Tuesday, February 12, 2008, and are now taking pre-orders on it.
This is the only known online store at this time listing a release date for the DVD and taking pre-orders. It is not known at this point if the release date listed at the Columbia House website is official.
The site does not mention anything about extra features on the DVD, although it lists the film as being available in both wide screen and full screen formats.

Page Six: Janet will not tour with family
Despite rumors that Janet would join a reunion tour with the Jackson family next year, the New York Post's Page Six is reporting today that Janet will not join the tour but rather is willing to only participate in a few select shows.
No official announcements have been made as to whether Janet will or will not participate in a reunion tour with her family.
Jermaine Jackson confirmed to BBC 6 late last month that his family is in negotiations to do a reunion tour in 2008. While he confirmed in the interview that Michael would be apart of such a tour, he did not mention anything about Janet. |
