In an interview with the Independent, director, writer and producer Billy Corben spoke about a phone call he once received from Janet.
After being asked what was the most surprising thing that has happened to him, Corben responded, "Janet Jackson called; she is a big fan of our movie. I was like, 'why the hell would Janet Jackson be calling me?' She was a sweeheart; I was awestruck."
Corben's first film, "Raw Deal: A Question of Consent," was released in 2001. His second film, "Cocaine Cowboys," was released last year and just came out in the UK. |

'Call On Me' re-enters Billboard charts over one year later
The "Call On Me" single has surprisingly re-entered two of the Billboard singles sales charts this week - more than one year after its initial release.
While the number of copies the "Call On Me" single sold this past week is unknown at this point, it is likely to only be a small amount. Very few singles are released commercially anymore in the United States, thus dramatically diminishing competition on the sales charts.
It is also unknown exactly what led the single to suddenly spike in sales this week. The single first appeared on the Billboard charts on July 1, 2006 and then dropped out on June 23, 2007.
The following list represents Janet's positions on all of the Billboard charts for the week ending December 1, 2007:
"Call On Me": Hot 100 Singles Sales: re-enters at 22* Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles Sales: re-enters at 3*
