JD talks about new video, 'Gotta Getcha'
Jermaine Dupri talks about his new music video for "Gotta Getcha," which features a brief cameo by Janet, in a VH1.com article.
He said the strip club in his video is a throwback to the old days of the peep shows on 42nd Street in New York.
"The window lifts up, and you pray to God that the girl [you want to see] is back there," he explained. "The trick of the strip club is that they can let the window down at any time. You have to stick your credit card back in there again and they might switch the girl out. That's how my video is. It's a whole bunch of different rooms and then it's crazy. The song is about me having a strip club addiction, 'cause I think I was probably that dude at about 21. That was 10 years ago." |

Janet to cameo as stripper in new Dupri video
Choreographer Gil Duldulao has confirmed with Janet|Xone that Janet filmed a cameo last week portraying a stripper in the new Jermaine Dupri music video "Gotta Getcha" from his upcoming album "Jermaine Dupri Presents: Young, Fly & Flashy Vol. 1."
As reported on HipHopDX.com, Jermaine visits a strip club peep show, looks at each stripper and the very last one is Janet. She bumps, grinds and dances like never before in a classroom-like setting.
Janet wears a very mini plaid mini-skirt with riding boots from John Der Dau. Her buttocks are "barely covered" by fishnets. "You're not supposed to really know it's her," a source tells the website. "You're like, 'Is that Janet?'"
Duldulao says that he worked directly with Janet on the video. While there is no definitive release date, HipHopDX.com claims that it should debut sometime in June. |
