'Velvet Rope' and 'All For You' 2-DVD set released in US
The "Velvet Rope Tour: Live in New York" and "All For You Tour: Live in Hawaii" concert DVDs will be repackaged and sold together as one collector's set in the United States on November 16, according to Amazon.com.
The 2-DVD set had also been released in the U.K. this past September. The collection can be pre-ordered online at Amazon.com. |

Janet turns down role in 'Bombay Dreams'
Janet has turned down an offer from the producers of "Bombay Dreams" to take over the lead role in the Broadway musical, rediff.com is reporting.
Earlier reports said that the show's producers were attempting to get Janet to star in the show after the initial run failed to bring in a sizeable audience. "American Idol" star Tamyra Gray will now take over the lead role. |

Lidrock 'I Want You' CD certified platinum
The promotional "I Want You" CD-single released by Lidrock has been certified platinum by the RIAA, according to the lastest cerifications on Billboard.com.
The Lidrock "I Want You" CD, released in May, was given away inside of soda lids that were sold at a limited number of Regal movie theaters. Platinum cerifications are awarded to singles that have shipped over one million copies in the U.S. |

Janet to appear at charity event, AMAs
Janet will be making appearances at a 100 Black Men of America event and at the American Music Awards, according to the Miss Janet International Fanclub.
She will be honored with an award for her charity work at an event that is being held by the New York chapter of the 100 Black Men organization on November 11.
Then, she will make an appearance at the American Music Awards, which air live from Los Angeles on November 14 at 8:00 P.M. ET on ABC. She is nominated at the awards for Favorite Female Artist - Soul / Rhythm & Blues Music. |
