Billboard update for week ending August 7, 2004
The following list represents the Billboard positions for "Damita Jo" on the album charts and for "All Nite (Don't Stop)" on each of the singles charts for the week ending August 7, 2004. "Damita Jo" sold 9,056 copies this week, bringing its seventeen-week total to 894,221 copies sold in the US.
Also, "R&B Junkie" drops on the Bubbling Under R&B Hip-Hop/Singles & Tracks chart to #7.

HMV Japan website lists 'R&B Junkie' on DVD
The HMV Japan online store is now listing a video for "R&B Junkie" as being contained in the tracklisting of the upcoming "From janet. to Damita Jo - The Videos" DVD.
It is unknown at this point if a video for that song will actually appear on the DVD. An earlier report from the Miss Janet International Fanclub did not include "R&B Junkie" in the tracklisting.
The HMV Japan site is also listing the So So Def Remix version of the "Someone To Call My Lover" video in the tracklisting. |

Janet featured in latest issue of Next magazine
  Janet discusses her recent NYC Gay Pride appearance and the process of remixing her songs in the latest issue of Next, a New York City gay culture scene magazine.
"The gay community has been so incredibly supportive," she says, "and this was just my way of saying thank you. I'm so happy I finally got around to doing it."
Two new promotional photos of Janet appear inside of the magazine. According to the article, she will also be interviewed in an upcoming issue of Genre magazine this fall. |

News website Eurweb is reporting that Virgin Records is creating plans to re-release the "Damita Jo" album with six additional new tracks.
At this time, a re-release has not yet been officially confirmed by Virgin. |

The HMV Japan website is now listing a new DVD titled "From Janet to Damita Jo" that is currently set for release in Japan on September 29.

Gil Duldulao talks tour, future projects with Janet Xone
Janet's friend, choreographer and upcoming tour director Gil Duldulao chatted with Janet Xone today to clear up some issues that have been circulating the internet.
According to Gil, Janet has postponed the tour a few months to "very early 2005," after the upcoming presidential elections in the United States. In the meantime, Janet will be working on "new projects" for the late summer and fall. While he couldn't elaborate on them, he assured us that they were big news.
Janet is currently on vacation, but Gil said she is doing well and that he and Janet will be working again soon and she plans to "stay focused."
Janet is planning a very different tour this time, Gil said, and it will be "crazy."

Janet offered role in 'Bombay Dreams'
Producers have offered Janet a role in the Broadway musical "Bombay Dreams," the New York Post is reporting.
"Bombay Dreams" tells the story of a handsome young slum-dweller and his dreams of becoming a Bollywood movie star.
If Janet accepted, she would play the role of Rani, the Bollywood superstar who sings the show's take-home tune, "Shakalaka Baby." The idea of Jackson going into "Bombay Dreams" came about after the producers first approached her about recording some songs from the show.
Whether Janet will accept the offer is currently unknown. The future condition for the musical is also uncertain, as ticket sales for the show have been sluggish. |

 Janet joined members of her family on Friday, June 25, at her parent's home to celebrate her nephew Auggie's high school graduation and new record deal with Midas Records, according to a Midas Records press release. Auggie, whose full name is Austin Brown, is the son of Janet's sister Rebbie. |
