Dupri remixes 'All Nite,' features appearance by Elephant Man
Jermaine Dupri has been commissioned to produce an urban remix of "All Nite (Don't Stop)" which will feature a guest appearance by rapper Elephant Man, according to the Jamaica Observer.
"I got a call from representatives at Virgin Records last Wednesday, and they said that Janet requested that Elephant Man be featured on the track. It was recorded on Monday at the Hit Factory in New York City, with Jermaine Dupri handling the production," Willie Daniels, an A&R executive at VP Records, the label Elephant Man is signed to, told the Observer.
"It's going to help both of them," Daniels said. "It will no doubt open Elephant Man to the pop audience. The label is also looking at a music video for the song, and there is the possibility that Elephant Man will be performing with her at the BET awards in June."
Elephant Man currently has his own single out titled "Jook Gal." In the past, the rapper has recorded guest appearances on tracks for Mariah Carey, Lil' Jon and the Eastside Boyz, Ying Yang Twins and Busta Rhymes. |

Janet imitates Condoleezza Rice, performs 'Strawberry Bounce'
Janet opened "Saturday Night Live" last night by imitating National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice who was being briefed prior to her testimony by Vice President Dick Cheney played by actor Darrell Hammond who offers several pieces of advise culminating in, "if all else fails...flash a boob."
Janet as Rice replies, "I am not a prude, sir. But this hearing is not the forum for that kind of lewd display. There are other forums, like pay television, or national sporting championships, where that would be fine."
The opening sketch of the show ended with Janet as Rice panicking during her testimony, flashing open her blouse, and shouting the show's signature opening line, "Live from New York it's Saturday Night!"
Aside from the sketches, Janet also performed both "All Nite (Don't Stop)" and "Strawberry Bounce" on the program. This is the first time Janet has performed "Strawberry Bounce" live. |
