Janet track possibly deleted from 'Chicago' soundtrack
The New York Post's Page Six is reporting that Janet's song originally scheduled to appear on the "Chicago" soundtrack may not be on the compilation after all.
The Page Six report says: "Add 'singer' to Catherine Zeta-Jones and Renee Zellweger's array of talents. The duo belt out a few tunes in Miramax upcoming musical, 'Chicago,' and they're also recording a new song for the movie's credits. The two will sing 'Moving On,' composed by the show's writing team Kander & Ebb. Early on in production, some had pulled for Janet Jackson to sing the closing number, but that plan was scrapped."
Also, according to the soundtrack information available at BestBuy.com, a Janet song does not appear anywhere in the tracklisting.
It should be noted, however, that there has been no official word on whether or not the new Janet song was indeed removed. |

'Chicago' soundtrack delayed
The "Chicago" soundtrack, featuring a new track from Janet, has been postponed to January 13th, 2003, according to Amazon.com.
The movie will open in a limited release on December 27, and will open wide on January 17. |

Janet attends P. Diddy's birthday party in NYC
Janet and Jermaine Dupri snuck their way through the backdoor of P. Diddy's birthday party last night at a club in Times Square, according to a Fox News report.
"Janet Jackson and Jermaine Dupri came together and were dressed similarly in formal black outfits and hats," Fox News says. "They sat in a cordoned off area by themselves and talked constantly through the party. The pair is said to be working on a joint album project of some kind." |

David Meyers photographs Janet for Stuff
As first reported here two weeks ago, Janet will be the subject of video director David Meyers's first ever professional photo shoot, which took place earlier this week, according to MTV.com.
The photos will be used in an upcoming article and layout for Stuff Magazine. The magazine, known for its racy and sexually charged photographs, will feature Janet on the cover. It is not known yet when the magazine will hit shelves. |

Janet, Jimmy, and Terry head west
Janet, Jimmy Jam, and Terry Lewis are hard at work at Record Plant Studios in Los Angeles this week, laying Janet's vocals into the mix of her new song for the "Chicago" soundtrack, according to FlyteTyme.com.
While in L.A., Jimmy and Terry are also laying down some mixes for the Holiday versions of new GAP commercials, which may feature some classic Flyte Tyme hits.
The Chicago Motion Picture Soundtrack is slated to go on sale December 10. |

Janet to be the subject of David Meyers's first photoshoot
EXCLUSIVE: Janet will be the subject of a photoshoot with David Meyers next week, marking his first ever venture into professional photography.
Meyers is well known for his extensive music video direction, including work on Janet's "All For You" video. His future projects will take him away from music videos and into feature film direction and photography.
There is no official word on the purpose of the photoshoot, however it is possible that these photographs will be used for the promotion of the upcoming 'Chicago' soundtrack single, as well as for use in future projects. |
