Janet records track for new album
Aside from recording a track that will appear on the movie soundtrack for the Broadway-based musical "Chicago", Janet has also been in the studio for her next album and has already finished one track, according to MTV.com.

The tentative title for the song that will appear on her new album is "Truly In Love."

"It's a very straightforward love song," Jimmy Jam told MTV. "The thing we said about it when we did it was that it could have been on any of her albums. There's nothing trendy about it. It's a very simple love song with few instruments and finger snaps and a lot of harmonies. It's very reminiscent of her style over the years."

The song that is currently being recorded for the "Chicago" soundtrack will be a "hot and danceable" mix of contemporary and 1920's jazz, according to Jam.

While there is no date set for Janet's new album, the single for the "Chicago" soundtrack will be released in late November or early December.

Janet flatters President Clinton at DNC event
Janet introduced President Bill Clinton at Wednesday night's Democratic National Committee "Every Vote Counts" fundraiser.

While giving her introduction, Janet labeled Clinton as "one of the greatest political leaders and humanitarians of all time," according to People.com.

Adding her own personal touch, she went on to say, "It is such an honor for me to introduce one of our country's most brilliant, effective and to me, sexiest, leaders."

After thanking Janet, a flattered Bill Clinton said, "I'll be living on that introduction for a long time. And doubtless paying for it in some quarters."

The DNC event raised over $5 million dollars towards its voter registration campaign.
