Plen Says: There Will Be No More For You
EXCLUSIVE: Michael Plen, the Senior Vice President of Promotion for Virgin Records, has informed Janet Xone that further single releases from the All For You album have most likely concluded.
"I think at this point," Plen said, "Janet has decided not to release another single from this album."
Plen, who has worked on promotion with Janet since she signed with Virgin in 1993, agrees with most fans about the possible success of releasing "Come on Get Up" (which has only been released as a single in Japan) as a worldwide single. Plen said of the song, "I think it's a smash!"
He did not elaborate any further as to any of Janet's plans for the future. |

Mere moments after the start of Janet's concert in Hawaii tonight, the white curtain at the start of the show didn't fully lift itself from the stage, causing Janet to be partially hidden behind the curtain.
Janet and the dancers continued on, however only a few bars into Come On Get Up, Janet stopped dancing, and walked off the stage with the dancers. |

Honolulu dress rehearsal runs smoothly
Last night's dress rehearsal of the All For You Tour at Honolulu Stadium ran smoothly as about 40 rows of promoters, staff, and other invited guests were allowed to watch the run-through. Unfortunately, fans were not invited.
At the dress rehearsal, Janet wore a brand new outfit for the 'whimsical' portion of the show. The stage is a bit wider and sets up above the ground twice as high. They have built it up on top of another stage so that people in the back can see it in the larger arena. On either side of the stage from floor to the top of the set, there are two panels of speakers which makes the already large set look even larger.
The first row of seats starts back a bit from the stage to accommodate the large camera pit directly in front of the stage. Directly behind the camera pit is the first row of seats, and then there is another large space and the second row starts. It is assumed that this front row is for fan club members.

Janet films opening sequence of HBO show at waterfall
Janet was spotted in Waimea Falls Park in Honolulu on Thursday filming the prologue scene for her Hawaiian HBO special, according to KHNL NBC News 8. The introduction will feature Janet running through a tropical forest and then disappearing underneath a huge waterfall. Janet spoke to reporters as she crossed her arms so as to not expose her chest under her see-through camouflage shirt. Lance from Hawaii reported that Janet also wears a white gown in one scene and a body double was used to film many of the shots involving running through the forest.
The show's promoter was also featured in the KHNL report and said that the show is "different from anything else you've seen before in a concert. Expect a surprising finale and some special guests."
Over 20 cameras will be used to film the concert including a massive crane camera that was brought in to film shots from high over the stadium. More than 300 crew members were flown in to run the production including all of Janet's tour personnel and promotion team. One-hundred local Hawaiian crew members were also hired for the production.
It is rumored that there will be a pre-show filmed prior to the concert. It is expected that fans will take part in the 15 minute special, which will air just before the show begins and will take place in a local Honolulu Karaoke bar. This short pre-show is not confirmed and should be taken as such. |
